Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world,
每當我對這個世界感到失望時，
I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport.
我就會想到希斯洛機場的入境大門。
General opinion's starting to make out that we live
in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that.
人們總說現在的世界上充滿了仇恨與貪婪，但我卻不這麼覺得。
It seems to me that love is everywhere.
對我來說，『愛』是無所不在的。
Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy,
雖然並不是多了不起，也沒什麼新聞價值，
but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and
daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends,
old friends.
但『愛』一直都存在於我們四周－父子、母女、夫妻、男
朋友、女朋友、老朋友。
When the planes hit the Twin Towers,
as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people
on board were messages of hate or revenge -
就我所知，當九一一事件裡被挾持的客機撞上世貿大樓時，，機上
乘客撥出的電話裡沒有一通的內容是關於怨恨或是報復—
they were all messages of love.
相反地，那些通話都是關於『愛』的。

聖誕節的確是個很美麗的節日
它也的確能在寒冷的冬天裡帶給我們溫暖
也只有在這個節日中的互相祝福
可以確實地讓我們感受到愛無所不在
